When is it expecting too much?
I recently made a trade with somebody involving a few of my cards and $5 for a few of his cards.
He complained that one of my cards came damaged, so I said we should send each other the cards back, since it was unfair that he got the short end of the deal. I told him I'd even let him keep the $5 since he was spending money on shipping and it was my fault that a refund was necessary.
He refused and started making other offers that I didn't want to do.
I thought my deal was more than fair. Should I just leave it as a final offer and risk losing trade business with this person forever?

I think what you offered was more than fair....$5 covers his shipping back and leaves him with a buck or two, and everybody is back to where they were pre-trade (minus his initial s/h and your dual s/h and $5)....seems right

Your offer was more than fair. Tell him to take it or leave it and move on. Just don't make any more deals with him.

You are totally in the wrong on this one.
You should have offered him a few MJ autos, as well as $1000 cash for his trouble.

Is Michael Jackson still signing autos?
