Tmac wants to be a Piston?
Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady told ESPN he would be interested in joining the Pistons.
Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said Wednesday that McGrady is happy in Houston and was surprised at how reports characterized his interest in being traded to Detroit.
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported on ESPN late Tuesday night that he spoke with McGrady and that McGrady wouldn't mind a trade to Detroit.
Said Smith: "It's certainly not a done deal by any stretch of the imagination. It's not as if Houston and Detroit has even talked yet. But is Detroit interested? Definitely.

TMac would definitely have a better chance at getting out of the first round by playing on an Eastern powerhouse like Detroit. I don't think he hates being in Houston, but I can't blame him for having some interest in the Pistons.

I heard it would be prince and billups for T-mac. I think the pistons might have a shot at the championship with T-mac but they'd have to beat my Hornets first.

i dont want tmac on my team! NO WAY! he is a "star" has an "ego" and how do you put hamilton and tmac on the same team? it ruins dumar's idea of "TEAM" basketball

the east is only getting stronger. the emergence of phili and atl. has surprised everyone and i wouldnt be surprised if the pistons struggled this year, and fell to the 6th or 7th seed. thy are certinly not a powerhouse team anymore. they need to make some moves but this is not the right one. tmac is an excellent player, however, if this is dumars way of "rebuilding" a team then he is the wrong guy for the job because you dont rebuild a team with stars and then have no cap. he has to get rid of a few guy, clear some cap, get rid of more after the season, get some younger guys and a draftpick, and then later get one player that maybe coule be tmac LATER to run those young guys. but if his idea is to put as many stars as possible to make a hip team, then he is going to be surprised in the results. i believe the knicks tried this with marbury, crawford, qrich, francis, etc., and it washed ALL of them in.

ive talked to my brother about this (and you know he works for the pistons) he said the pistons have little intrest in trading prince, and that they dont want/need tmac. but have you seen the other teams in the pistons divison? bucks, bulls, pacers, cavaliers. last time i knew, none of them were getting much better either, pistons still are a top 3 team. and rodney stuckey? perhaps is a type of tmac but better overall, and has seen the second round =)

this isn't real. stephen a smith is not the best source. all tracy said was that (out of respect for dumars) that he doesn't mind playing for them, but he is happy in houston and wants to win.
he said that after morey (our gm) rejected dumars offer. and, morey himself said that all rumors are false. pretty much, our team thinks we can win but just need some adjustments.

Rockets have no plans to trade him (right now).
I haven't seen a comment from McGrady himself.
Stephen A. Smith is so full of B.S.
