Coldplay concert!
Yes, I'm going to see Coldplay tonight (Tuesday) at the Forum in Inglewood, CA (where the Lakers used to play)--taking the daughter and her 2 friends also. Should be great. I like the new CD too.

That sounds like a great time. The only 2008 CD I've gotten so far this year is theirs, and I was pleasantly surprised by it (the previous one, X&Y, was a hit-or-miss affair, IMO).

Cool! But, why would they schedule the concert on the same night as the MLB All-Star game?

Oh man, what a show! I've seen quite a few concerts because I used to work in stadiums & arenas during concerts but Coldplay actually left me kind of breathless. They were incredibly good (even if they did make some mistakes during songs and started the songs over, lol). I'm so glad my daughter's first concert was so fun and enjoyable. It was her birthday/graduation/Christmas present--those 4 tickets cost me nearly $400! We had some pretty crummy seats too...directly to the band's right and high up. It could've been worse. Many people had seats that were to our left, which was actually behind the band. Yet we still had the time of our lives!
