eBay makes me laugh sometimes.
I ran across this earlier today and decided to make the guy an offer:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...BOFF:IT&ih=025
Well, look at the price that he is asking for. I mean, really? seriously? I know that people who put cards in their eBay store jack the prices up so people will make an offer, but I mean, c'mon. This guy has it listed for 4x book value. (I think) So, I offered him $9 + his $4.50 shipping costs. (riduculous as well) and he responded back that I was wasting his time. LOL. I guess I just need to pay his asking price and be done with it. LOL
Freaking people.
I swear, it's supposed to be a hobby, not a way to buy your Lamborghini.
Get real!!
ok, I'm done.

To me the question is "what does BV have to do with selling price?" If it's outrageous, so be it - just move on. In all honesty, it only takes one person with money to hit the Buy It Now to make it "look" good for the seller (heck it only cost .05 to list and .60 to list for a WHOLE year...so why not list it high?!?). The final price of a card is what someone is willing to pay for it. JMO

Wow...I like to think that nothing people do surprises me any more...and for the most part it doesn't. But that surprised me a little...only a little! Why waste the money listing it, even if it is $.05 or whatever.
And you're right, a card is only worth what it will sell for...and the highest sale of that card on eBay was $15, so he's asking $110 more than it's worth.
Which by the way, why is Tyler Thigpen selling so high anyway?

I agree w/ Peter. Cards sell in all ranges of BV, from 2% to 300%. Yes, this card doesn't sell 10 times BV like he's asking, but there's so many of these types of auctions..
