    Cowboys continue signing onslaught

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin won't have to wait until after the season for a long-term contract.

The Cowboys and Hamlin agreed Tuesday on a $39 million, six-year deal that includes a $9 million signing bonus and guarantees the Pro Bowl safety about $15 million.

After coming to Dallas on a $2.5 million free-agent deal following four years in Seattle, the 27-year-old Hamlin set career highs with five interceptions and 102 tackles for the Cowboys last season. He was a starter for the NFC in his first Pro Bowl.

This is a relief. One of the best FS in the league and certainly the best we've had in years.

I'm amazed at what Jerry has done this offseason. Previously extended Romo, now TO, Barber, and Hamlin. Also got Adam Jones. Two first rounders and a sleeper TE. We just need to lock Ware to an extension.

The weakest point on the Cowboys team is DT. WR is also very weak if you take away TO. Things are looking good.

I gotta agree with the weak reciever comment. I actually believe that the cowboys will be a major player in the WR Roy Williams signing next year.

Chris Henry has had all charges dropped and will (if you believe Commissioner Goody) be reinstated for this season...

I'd be shocked if the Cowboys didnt go after him

That Chris Henry is one they need to stay away from. He's one who doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes

only thing is the other 2 seem to be getting their problems under control. Then again you never know maybe they could get Henry cheap and get Roy Williams next year anyhow.

We'll see...Adam Jones has stayed out of the news for about 3 weeks now! He's on a roll!!!

PS: I'm not picking on you...but i'm still waiting for your source for saying Barry Sanders wanted a new deal...can you provide that for me?
