So, what are the odds?
Back in 2003, I opened a box of 2003 SP Authentic. Among my pulls was a Clinton Portis SOTT auto #d 500/520. I thought i would end up keeping it, but I got a real good offer to trade the card, so I did- to a guy from Nevada or Wyoming or somewhere out west. Trade was done through a Yahoo group, it went fine, the guy vanished from the internet...
Fast forward 5 years. I just posted a thread indicating an interest to buy a card. What shows up? Yup, that same Portis card from 5 years ago. Couldnt pass it up, the odds were just too astronomical to let the opportunity go away...Think Ill keep it this time...unless I get a really good offer again, then it will leave for 5 years, and come back

"If you love something... set it free, and if it comes back... it's meant to be" or some way too mushy thing like that, ha.

Thats nuts
I could see nice 1/1's showing up again on ebay or beckett/scf since they are likely to be big ticket items that draw some attention when resold/traded. But a Portis auto out of 520 and its the exact on you had, thats probably pretty astronomical that it would come back to you.
