hate to burst the bubble on this one...
...However, the story is entirely untrue. I contacted "Le magazine des voyages de pêche", the French publication mentioned in the message, to enquire about the origin of the story. According to a spokesperson from the magazine, the "Shark Love Story" was published in the magazine two years ago as an April Fools joke...

Actually that doesnt burst the bubble unless they Photoshopped the man in the same pic as the shark. The story may not be true but the pictures of the guy next to the shark look real to me....lol

I'm pretty sure those pics came from any one of numerous specials I've seen on the National Geographic channel. It's some sort of study going on right now pertaining to Great White sharks and why, when they are grabbed or petted on the nose, their eyes roll back and they are temporarily paralyzed.
Anyway, there are a number of links on the internet debunking the myth of this guy having a "pet" great white, and all of them lead back to the scientific study I referenced in the above paragraph.
So yes, the photos are real... but the story behind them is not.
