Chillin' with the Blazers

Well if you don't know I was gone all weekend helping out at a benefit put on by the Portland Trailblazers. The benefit is the biggest 3 on 3 basketball tournament on the west coast held right next to the arena in Portland. Over 50 courts of 3 on 3 action all benefiting Oregon Special Olympics. I was lucky enough to be chosen to work at Center Court all weekend which was on the Blazers 1977 Championship Court...and it was moved outside!

I had my VIP pass ready and met tons of people including Mike Rice (broadcaster), Cliff Robinson, and Martell Webster. I got to chill with Martell for awhile and we talked a bit and he's a real cool dude. He told me where to get really long jeans, since I'm taller than him.

That's a picture of me and him. I got him to sign that shirt I was wearing too.

Couldn't get an autograph from Cliff, he left in a hurry but I got to shake his hand and talk to him for a second about UCONN! Since that's where he played ball at. He was pretty nice as well.

Just thought I would share that.

Sounds like a really neat experience!!! I do remember you mentioning something about you being extremely tall in a previous thread in the Chit-Chat forum. If you don't mind me asking, exactly how tall are you?

The Blazers are going to be fun to watch this year. I'm expecting them to make it to the playoffs this upcoming season.

One more question... Did you see Jerryd Bayless anywhere?
