Mistake # 1 is paying with Money Order.
Not much you can do but to take one for the team and learn not to pay with MO, Pay Pal only.

Small claims court is not worth the time or money. Showing up at dude's house can get you thrown in jail. Just throwing it out there for those that might suggest things like that.

I'm removing his name and address for privacy reasons.
Sorry for your loss. Have you contact the Post Office? I think they can verify that is was cashed. Since you put his name on it, it can only be cashed by him. You can then try to file based on that.
Leave him some nasty feedback!

I agree. Not much you can do accept to use PAYPAL from now on.
Sorry bud, it sucks.I only use PayPal G&S and I do not ship internationally
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Did you 'Report an Item Not Recieved'? I'd try to get in contact with Ebay again.
Also, do you have the seller's phone number? If not, you may be able to get it through Ebay. This is from the link below:
Requesting a member’s contact information
If you cannot contact your trading partner through email, you can request this person's contact information (name, city, and telephone number) directly from eBay.
To protect the privacy of eBay users, you can only obtain contact information for eBay users who are involved in your current or recent transactions.
For example:
- Sellers can request contact information for all bidders in an active transaction and the winning bidder in a successful, closed transaction.
- Bidders can request contact information for a seller during an active transaction and in a successful, closed transaction if they are the winning bidder.
To request a person’s contact information:
- Click the “Advanced Search” link, located under the Search button in the top right corner of most eBay pages.
- Under the Members section on the left side of the page, click the “Find Contact Information” link and provide the User ID of the member and the Item number of the transaction you have in common.
The information you request will be sent to your registered email address. This information can only be used in accordance with eBay's Privacy Policy. The user whose information you are requesting will also receive your contact information.
If you have requested contact information and it is invalid, please review our contact information policy. Remember to keep your contact information up-to-date.
