Phil, every time you've featured a UCLA game in GTS, I've picked them and they've lost. So I'll do you a favor and go
85-67 Stanford...now UCLA will win!
lolol...thanks, Sam
we were up 19-17, then Stanford busted out or a 24-5 run to end the 1st half, and that was it for us
(sigh)....how can we go scoreless for 10 minutes??!?!?!?

Phil, why was Peter disqualified ? He answered using 2 nickanmes, Stanford Cardinal (no "s") & Louisville Cardinals. He wouldn't have won, but he didn't do anything wrong I don't think.

Hi Rick
Here are my reasons for disqualifying Peter:
1. In all this time, I never realized that Stanford was "Cardinal"; I always thought they were Cardinals, b/c when I am listening to sports radio, I always hear the Stanford Cardinals
But, in this case, if your are right about the subtle difference b/t the 2 names, then I am wrong about Stanford Cardinals.
2. If there is any uncertainty in the GTS entries, then I make the call. Peter could've made my job much easier by putting Stanford Cardinal and Louisville Cardinals, rather than Cardinal and Cardinals.
3. This is only GTS, and YOU and YOUR family are not financially devastated if YOU are Disqualified from a GTS. So, any time I am uncertain about how someone answers, I don't include their entry.
In short, given what you said about Louisville Cardinals, and Stanford Cardinal, I was wrong....and should've realized the difference.
BUT, I am no sports guru (a la Mel Kiper Jr. in college football draft), and I do not get paid $80M salary contract to do this job. So, I do this to the best of my ability.
As such, I disqualified Peter.
And as you noted, Peter didn't win it anyways.
