    Boston People plz lmk

As of right now Im thinking about applying to both MIT and Harvard for my undergraduate degree, and I was wondering about the city of Boston.
How is the city like? How is the atmosphere like? I think I have a soso image of what Boston is like but I think that the people of Boston will know a lot more than me. Also others that aren't from Boston are welcome to comment, and your info will be greatly appreciated.

i would also appreciate if you would give me atleast one negative with each positive thing to say about Boston, which won't affect me due to the fact that I realize that no place is ever perfect

    thanks a bunch

As the previous member mentioned, "WOW"

Boston is a fun town. Depending on if you are ready for dirty snow. You will have a great time, great food. Although I haven't been there in a couple of years.

Boston is great...large city packed into a small area. Easy to get around in if you take the T (subway). Tons to do, loaded with history and if you want to get out of the city you can get to the beach or mountains easliy.

I've gotta ask this...what's your GPA and SAT score?

Well so far ( depending on if I keep my grades up & whether I take the SAT once again )

My GPA is 4.0 but in Texas its kinda different but its 104 here.
MY SAT score as of right now is a 2240
Rank in my school is 25 out of 875

Im also a class officer, founder of japanese honor society at school, Varsity Soccer player, cross country runner, member of key club, and worked internship during the summer for Yahoo and a Publisher.

Since freshman year I've really wanted to get into a good college, and you know what they say "You only get what you put in." So Ive been busting my butt since Freshman year, and my parents were very suprised. When I was in Middle school, I always got Fs and was sent to Juvie (not sure if ya have it around there, but its like a jail for minors in Texas ) a couple of times due to fighting and stuff, but I knew that if I work hard in High School I could turn my life around, so thats what Ive been doing since then.

People can change!!! Ive learned it myself, and thats why it is important to give people second chances guys!

i work with a coupel of guys form boston and have been ther once for St. Pattys day. Nice city with a lot of great history but it can get gritty if you not careful. i guess you have to find the ruff neighborhoods and stear clear of them. the bar i went to for St. Patty's day was great but the locals picked up my "California Accent" and quickly went on the defence. Its wasent until my cousin told them I was a Marine and just returned form a 7 month tour in Iraq and then everything was cool. Like i sadi man great place but it can get down right nasty if you not carefull. later days bro.
    Shane

PS You should consider Stanford or Berkley (im applying to berkley next year) great schools in the best area ever, the BAY!!!! Whats your major?

My parents are pushing for Stanford (good enviroment), and Im actually also considering Berkley because Im planning to major in Buisness.
Don't really know much about Cali either except the Beaches and the girls.
Plz lmk about Cali also if possible (the positives and negatives).

My choices are very vague atm, but when I go visit the campuses and stuff, Im gonna have to narrow it down to basically 3 or 4 due to the money.
