Nice Collection =)
Especially this card is really nice.

This jersey is not any longer expensive.
But it was his first jersey and really popular.

Thanks nbacardDOTnet! When i orginally purchased that card, i was under the impression that it was the one that had the odds 1 out of 2500 packs. Only to realize that there is another Kobe jersey card of this series:

I wonder, from your knowledge, how much more expensive is this version from the one i have? Beckett lists it at $50 more, but i got a feeling that this one would be a lot more expensive.Last edited by jeebus86; 08-06-2008 at 01:10 AM.

In this case, Beckett may be right.
I understand what you are feeling.
In many cases(especially 90's insert, Parallel) , BV(Beckett Value) has some different from MV(Market Value).
But in this case, beckett may be right.
Yes..like your description, ratio has much gap..
1:288 /// 1:2,500
But Even though Purple jersey Ratio was around 10 times higher than Yellow jersey, People has prefered Yellow Jersey.
I think most of Lakers Fans have liked Yellow Jersey than Purple Jersey.
SO if there is gap of market value, it will be 50-100$ maximum.
For the first time, Purple BV might be much higher than Yellow Jersey BV.
But People prefered Yellow jersey because they liked yellow and Purple was more expensive than yellow.
That's the reason why BV doesn't have much gap purple jersey and yellow jersey.
P.S: I'm poor at English. SO If some expression is tough, do me a favor about that,Please.

Very nice collection thus far. The rookies look great and the autos are really nice. The only thing, IMO, that you're missing would be a sick patch :)

Yes, I agree demonpower, I really need a patch in my collection, it’s just tough trying to decide which one I should get. The thing is it’s been about 8 years since the last time I bought a pack of cards from anywhere, so my mind is still stuck in the late 90s thinking that Jersey cards are still all the rage, and Auto cards are as rare as gold.
It wasn’t until about a few months ago when I was on the prowl for that 98-99 Kobe jersey card, where I discovered patch cards. Like I said, I would like to get one, but I have yet to find one that is significant to me. A lot of times, I collect for nostalgia, that’s why you mainly see old 98-99 jersey cards and sign of times cards in my collection. I have been thinking about buying a Kobe patch/auto, but right now I’m not in the mood to just hand over $500 for a card.
