Newbie with dumb questions
I got over 10,000 cards from my in-laws attic and had a few, probably dumb, questions.
Can someone explain a GU, Jersey, and Auto?
Cards that are factory cut off center, does it decrease increase or have no effect on value?
Best way to store cards? individual toploaders in a card box or 9 panel page in binder?
Im sure I'll have more questions as I get into this but thank you for your patience.

GU=Game Used, (or event used) Worn by player in game or event.
Auto= autograph.
Store cards in a penny sleeve and then in toploader. To me binfer pages are a no no bc it damages the cards, unless it is just a base card.
Off center cards decrease the value in cards........but some people just dont pay attention to it, like me........

So the GU has a swatch of the players jersey on it?
Whats 1/1 etc.. mean? Are these limited releases?

Yes a piece of the players jersey.
1/1 means that is the only one made of that kind of card. like some cards are 40/50 and etc.
what are limited releases??
there are a lot of 1/1's but for different products and different players.

Well, i agree with regular binders, you have to buy the special binders that are flat, and not with rings
