What rookies are being drafted in most leagues?
So what rookies are the ones getting drafted this year? I know a few I would take a chance on but want to hear others opinions.
I know a few but maybe someone can help me identify a sleeper. Comments wanted.
McFadden (OAK) surely gets picked in all leagues.
Jonathan Stewart (CAR) I wouldn't pick him but lots of people are. I like DeAngelo
Matt Forte (CHI) this is a guy I would take a chance on late because he could be the starter.
Felix Jones? (DAL) But barber is so good. Is he one play away from being the starter?
Rashard Mendenhall (PIT) this seems like it might be a good player to get if you draft Parker
Chris Johnson (TEN) this guy looks fast could get some late season touches for big plays. Maybe just end of the game big plays.
Ray Rice (BAL) this is a combo I would like Rice and McGahee.
Kevin Smith (DET) I don't know about this guy but is he going to be the starter?
Jacob Hester (SD) he will be just like mike turner behind LT? Just not as fast.
Dustin Keller (Jets) favre to Keller all year long?
Those are all RB's who are the WR's to take a shot at?
Donnie Avery Rams. They already have a good core of WR's so will he play at all?
Devin Thomas (WAS) behind Moss/Randel El/Cooley just won't be enough to go around for him.
Jordy Nelson (GB) I have seen this kid on college and he is fast. But ahead of Driver/Jennings/Jones might have one big play late in the season.
James Hardy (BUF) 6 foot 7 I think I might take a chance on him since Evens can make big plays happen then Edwards can find the tall guy from the redzone.
Eddie Royal (DEN) this kid looks solid in preseason but that means nothing. But who is the #2 in DEN?

McFadden is going pretty high, owned in 100% of leagues and avg draft position is 37 (ESPN). I think at the very least he'll be pretty good, with a possibility of real good.
In my mind, Forte and Kevin Smith are the next level. Both are starting (as of now), which puts them ahead of the other guys. They're both owned in 100% of leagues as well and are going at 62 and 75 respectively.
Stewart is going higher than Smith, at 66 (owned in 100% of leagues also). I think most people don't put too much faith in DeAngelo and that's why he's going higher than Smith. I think DeAngelo will be at least decent and will keep the #1 role for the whole year, but Stewart could end up getting about 40% of carries (best case scenario) and being the goalline guy and could still put up decent fantasy numbers.
Felix Jones is going at 86 and is owned in 99.6% of leagues. I think he looks like a great back, but he's behind Barber. He might get some carries, but Barber is a goalline back, so I don't see many TDs for Felix.
Mendenhall is going at 97, owned in 99.2%. I was thinking he would be a good option b/c he would get the goalline carries. I read the other day though that the Steelers said Parker would get those, so now I'm not so sure.
I like Chris Johnson and Ray Rice. Johnson is going at 138 w/85.8% owned and Rice isn't even in the top 181. I'm not a believer in LenDale and Johnson has already shown his playmaking abilities in the preseason game. I like McGahee, but he had knee surgery and Rice is a bruiser. I probably wouldn't draft him except as a handcuff for McGahee, but I'd definitely keep my eye on him.
Jacob Hester is fighting to back up LT...he's looked good in preseason, but he doesn't even have the #2 position locked up. No way I would draft him, probably not going to have much of an impact this year.
Dustin Keller is actually a TE. He has potential, but he's got competition. Chris Baker is at #1 on the depth chart right now, but I've read he doesn't even want to play for the Jets any more. Bubba Franks is behind Keller, but has played w/Favre before and isn't a bad TE. Keller has potential to be a starter, but it's too questionable at this point.
James Hardy is the only rookie WR being drafted right now, at 169 in 17.3% of leagues. I think he has the best chance of producing. He's already at #2 on the depth chart (Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish aren't much to beat) and I think Trent Edwards will have a pretty good year.
Royal might produce, he's listed at #2 right now as well. W/Marshall missing a few games, he might get a chance to shine early on.
Other than that, I think Sweed and Avery are the only other WRs with a real chance of producing. Sweed will have to beat out Nate Washington for the #3 slot. Avery is already listed at #3, but after Holt, I'm not sure how productive Bulger can make the other WRs.
Thomas and Nelson just have too many good options in front of them to really have much of a chance.

OnePimpTiger you and I seem to have some similar thinking going into this year. But I do like LenDale White a lot and plan to draft him if he falls to me late enough.

One thing I was thinking is can Steve Slaton win the starting job in Houston?

Royal has looked good in Denver but Stokley and Darrell Jackson are there too fighting for the #2 WR position.

Both of those guys are okay I'm looking for young last round picks in a deep league so I will take chances on the young guys.

Will Franklin (KC WR) and Keenan Burton (STL WR) have been impressing in camp too. And in KC, there's not much standing in Franklin's way on the depth chart if he keeps doing good....may be another one to watch.

I have seen all of the rookie RBs being drafted. A lot of the WRs have not however (unless its a big league or has extra positions). I think everyone is trying to find that diamond in the rough to turn into Peterson or Cadillac's rc year. There will probably be one this year, I think it will be McFadden.
However I have drafted Mendenhall in 2 leagues, but only because I had parker in those.
As for Josh Morgan, I am still a little bit weary of the playing time he will get. McNolan isn't known for giving rookies a ton of playing time, especially at the WR position. Josh Morgan has looked spectacular, but we'll see what happens when the season starts.
