Braylon Edwards will miss 2 preseason games
Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl wide receiver Braylon Edwards will miss two preseason games while the cut in his right foot heals, according to Monday's Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Edwards suffered the injury at the end of practice Saturday when he was running without shoes on the practice field and was accidentally stepped on by fellow wideout Donte' Stallworth. He was taken to the hospital for stitches and spent the night there as a precautionary measure before being released on Sunday.
Edwards, who is entering his fourth season, will likely miss preseason games against the Giants on August 18 and at Detroit on August 23, according to the report. Browns head coach Romeo Crennel said there is no timetable for his return.
"I never put a timetable on guys because you don't know," Crennel told the Plain Dealer. "All I know is that he's going to work to get back out here and he'll be back when he's ready."
The 6-3, 212-pound Edwards had a breakout season in 2007, hauling in 80 passes for 1,289 yards and a franchise-record 16 touchdowns.

Sounds good to me....I'd rather see him sit until Chicago in preseason week 4, and then be ready for Dallas in week one!

Got that right. I'm glad he won't be coming back right at Week One, he can at least practice another two weeks and play in one more preseason game.

It was worded poorly, but I'm guessing the point is it should take two weeks but the team isn't rushing him.
