Smile Bird/ Magic Dual Auto. Is this a good buy?

I recently bought this on ebay. 03-04 SP Authentic SP Dual Auto (Magic Johnson/ Larry Bird). It was graded by SGC (Sports Card Guaranty) as 88.

Can you tell me its BV. Did I get a good buy? Thanks in advance!

    Cheers!

Overpaid, especially considered the grading. The majority of SGC's stuff grades 94+, so 88 is like a BGS 8, maybe 8.5.

Not sure how much it books for because I don't have a price guide in hand. I think you got a decent deal. I haven't heard much about SGC though. Do you have a scan or picture of the card?

It's a GREAT DEAL especially since it is graded by the absolute best in the grading business. BGS / PSA are both already starting to go down in popularity slowly but steadily B/C of their less than moral ethical standards. Although you always hope for higher than an eight on your newer modern card grades. It is slabbed and protected none the less. Don't worry about value anyway unless you just bought it to resell it.

Thank you all for all your reply.

the_future, here is the image of the card:

It looks great up front, but there are noticeable wear on the back edges.

I really don't have plans of reselling it. I'm really a autograph collector and not a hard-core card collector. I just want to know its book value. :)

I think it was a great deal! 2 Hall of Famers, SP to 25, for less than 200 is a fair price, congrats!
