I can't say that I am estatic with this signing....maybe he'll be a good defensive backup to KG? Hope so....also hope he doesn't bring his plane-full of baggage with him....

In terms of team chemistry, I don't understand this signing. I think this will hurt the Celtics more than it will help them.

I hope he plays in 10 games! The Blazers cut him because they believed it was a career ending injury. Apparently, if Miles plays in 10 games this season, the Blazers take a $15 million salary cap hit. :)

Not trying to be mean, but that comment makes ZERO sense to me. U do realize they have to add players to the team, it won't be the same team as last year. (Posey, Casell, Brown are gone ect.)
If you are saying the guy has baggage, OK, thats different, but I don't see how he would screw up chemistry. Danny Ainge has said he has had a great work ethic, and a great attitude. The guy is 6'9, is 235 pounds, and still has potential even with his injury. The C's need as many role players they can get, I think it's a great signing.
He averaged 16.9 points, 5 boards, 1 steal, 1 block a game before he got hurt in 06.
Direct Quote from Miles
"I've watched the Boston Celtics play a lot last year and loved what I saw in their teamwork and chemistry on the court and it's the team that I want to try to resume my career with." said Miles. "I am excited about having an opportunity to play on a team that I feel my personality fits with and a team that can have great success on the court."Last edited by Insane Irish; 08-29-2008 at 07:36 AM.

they also said that Randy Moss and Cory Dillon would hurt the Patriots team chemistry...boston is where random people come together to win!...we are lucky to have the great coaches we have here in Boston...Doc, Bill, and Francona...Darius Miles will only help our team w/ his athleticism, defense, and quick burst of energy...he's our Gerald Green we lost last year...the only disappointing thing about signing him is he'll take away from my main man Bill Walker's playing time...
