    Topps Chrome printing plates

    Hi there y'all!

I'm fairly new to the world of sports cards. I started buying boxes of the 2008 Topps Chrome. I noticed that there were 1/1 autographed printing plates listed on eBay. I have just a couple questions:

What exactly is a printing plate?

How many different variations do they make? More specifically in the Topps Chrome brand?

Do the plates sustain a strong value?

Thank you for your help guys!

printing plates are the metal plates used for making cards. they often come in 3 colors, sometimes more. they are all 1/1. depends on the person as far as holding value. they are 1/1 so they don't have a value.
