    Question about 2008 Topps

    Does anyone have any information on the 2008 Topps base card variations? I know the retail wrappers say they are like 1:1722 packs, but I need more complete info. I just found 2 of the base Brett Favre cards (card #34), and noticed one of them features Vince Lombardi in the background, and one doesn't

    EDIT: I just read in Beckett that the Favre/Lombardi variation card is actually pretty rare. According to the recent Beckett (Aug/Sept 2008), one of these has sold on ebay for $358, and a Topps spokesman revealed the odds on this Favre are 1:12000 packs. Apparently I pulled a pretty damn decent card here....
