Paypal question
Not sure if this is the right forum, and sorry if this question sounds stupid, but I deal mostly with cash and I guess, sooner or later, I have to accept ebay's policy...
I plan on selling a few cards on ebay soon since I have no use for them, but I realized that I have to accept paypal (the good thing being, paypal can send me a check). So I go to create a paypal account, but I was wondering, do I need to have a bank account or credit card (I have neither) to receive a payment via paypal? I can create the account, no problem, but was unsure on the accepting payments, so thanks in advance for anyone who helps!

Either works. I used my credit card for a couple of years on paypal. I recently switched to using my bank account since I was tired of seeing those long credit card statements and the interest on my purchases. With bank account, you can transfer your paypal balance into your bank account.

Yes, use your bank account. You can deposit the money from your PayPal to your bank account. Let's say you have $18 dollars, and the item on eBay you just won cost $20 with the shipping, it'll take the extra $2 from your bank account or credit card.
You can also apply for a PayPal debit card, and it's a 98% chance you will get approved. But the PayPal debit card is used just like a bank card. You can use this card wherever Mastercard is accepted, and it will deduct money from your account. You can also go to an ATM and pull out money. PayPal is pretty much a bank account for online sales and purchases.

Sorry, I meant to say that I have neither one. Didn't apply for a credit card and only bank account I have is my parents, but I don't want to use that unless really necessary. Thanks for the replies though!

I'm kind of dealing with the same thing right now. I have my bank issued debit card signed up with paypal, but that doesn't mean I was verified, which I am not still.
I am able to receive funds to my paypal account, but I am unable to transfer them into my bank, because I am not verified (either "add a bank" or get a paypal credit card). The stupid page where I add a bank won't work for me, I've tried to add it to no avail. So I called them and was on the phone with them for about 15min....and guess what.....no darn solution. Man I hate talking on the phone like that.
Maybe someday I'll be able to "add a bank" to my paypal account so I can start selling things. I refuse to get a credit card though, those plastics things are dangerous lol.

I want to, but I know how crazy I can get with money so I'm holding off for now.
So you can get funds while being "unverified," is that correct? That's probably all I need to know because I plan on selling one card on ebay and that's probably it. After I read that you can request Paypal to send a paper check through the mail for a $1.50 fee, I guess I'm fine. I also agree with you on the credit card issue; those things are tempting, but so dangerous, lol.
Thanks for the help guys!

Yes, to your question. I had someone send me a dollar the other day just to test this (it was the 1st time I had money sent to my paypal account, I have always just bought things), but I was unable to transfer it to my bank account because I am unverified.
