1991 Pacific Prototypes - looking for some info

I have just come into ownership of 2 five cards sets of 1991 Pacific Prototypes. The notes that came with the set say they have a BV of $100/each and is only limited to 5000 copies. Cards are Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Bo Jackson, E Metcalf, & Barry Sanders. Becketts site is glitching so I cannot get into that to research and there is nothing on google to help. Just wondering if anyone has the story on these cards. Thanks! I can get up some scans on here or in my photobucket later on. Just looking for some individual values or history on them.

Ill tell you for a Barry Sanders . Nah Im kidding but I need the Sanders. Your sets were sent out by Pacific Trading Cards to prospective dealers prior to the general release of their debut set of cards. The cards are almost exactly like the regular issue cards that came out shortly after these were released. The prototype cards are re distinguished from the regular issue cards by their different card numbers and the presence of zeroes for the stat totals on the backs. The production run was reported as 5000 sets and the sets were distributed to dealers in the Pacific netowrk with the rest being used as sales samples. Hopefully that answers your questions. Joe Montana 25 low 40 high

Bo Jackson 4 low 8 High

Eric Metcalf 1.60 low 4 High

Barry Sanders 25 low 40 High

Troy Aikman 15 low 25 High

good stuff bsanderscollector. I appreciate the info on this set. I was able to get on beckett later on and it was basically the same info, minus the prices/values. There doesn't seem to be too many if any of these on the market.
