Great idea, but what is your proof that the card is a fake? Do you have a scan of the card before it was altered? Don't get me wrong, zinger is a patch faker, but you have to have proof to get money back and claim fraud.

I myself don't know. I just got it to take it off the market. If its fake so be it. Now I do believe there was a scan of this card on the old becket with a different Jsy in it but atlast it is gone. Now I hope its real but it is Zinger. As for getting my money back I paid $2 for it so no biggie to me.

Well Im no expert on Zinger but I have seen my fair share of fakes. This card set was issued with ALOT of 1 color jersey pieces in it.....finding one this nice makes me immediately suspicious. This card looks like a fake to me because I can see a little white showing around the patch window....this is the 1st thing I look at. Another thing is the patch seems cut to fit the window, rather than being "tucked" under the window around the edges. None of these issues alone proves anything....but combine them all and the fact that the seller is one of the biggest scam-artists out there and its hard to believe its real. This Zinger guy has been at this for awhile though and hes probably quite skillful at what he does. Hard to figure why he'd fake this card since its not worth much anyway?....maybe he was practicing?

The best thing for spoting a fake is knowing what that specific players authentic jersey looks like in detail. Some jersey's change alittle in one way or another every year so you must keep up with it. I pay close attention to Cadillac williams jersey because I collect him heavy. Some teams have screen print logo's on their sleeves and others have embroidered patches on their sleeves. Reebok makes specific jersey's for all the different teams. Lineman jersey's compared to a QB's jersey are usually different in one way or another also. If there is chipping or damage around the jersey piece that is always a great sign of a fake. The most and toughest to tell fakes are SP Authentics. The rookies during the premier wear so many different jersey's such as throw back and so on so you must know what to look for in these also. I hope this helps alittle and remember that if it is to good to be true then it most likely is to good to be true. Most patch fakers also use the private seller ID also, this way no one can contact the buyer who is getting scammed.

Very true Zinger loves to use the private bidder route

They buy patches or jerseys and basically cut them up. Behind every gu card is a sticky material that holds them in place. They remove whatever patch they don't want and replace it with the new cut piece.
