    upper deck icons lettermen

    i dont know if this has been asked but does anyone think these cards are any good bearing in mind they arent g/u?
    not sure myself, they look ok but!!

    Just a waste of time and $$ if you ask me, and it kills the true Lettermans, I used to love those, but now it's flooding the market.

    They are a novelty item for sure. I only collect 3 players: Jim Thorpe, Red Grange, and Bronko Nagurski and these players did not have names on the back of their "jersey" of course. I will try to buy 1 of each letter for all three players, but not going to pay top $$.
    One thing that I think is really stupid is that the Thorpe cards spell T-H-O-R-P-E and INTERCEPTION?? What the heck is that they didn't even have the forward pass when he was playing. I guess I am too much of a purist?

    I didn't mind when SPA did the by the letter set I acutally thought it was a good idea since rookie patches are one in every 2 boxes but this Icons lettermen is horrible I wouldn't touch this product and it looks like the lettermen don't sell very well either hopefully this is the only year it's made.
