I did attend this show. Its always rather small as the town is small its self. I set up on occasion but did not hear of this show until the day of.

Admission price is free. The dealers are rather friendly. You normally find alot of baseball cards and memorabilia. You do have your other sports, such as football and basketball. I have not seen any hockey to speak of.

There is one dealer there every time, deals specifically with comic books and non sport cards,along with non sport card memorabilia.

As for wax, this time there was hardly any available, which I was quite disappointed with. Usually there is one dealer that has plenty, but could not show up this time, due to his work schedule.

Pricing on the cards seem rather expensive. It seems the dealers rarely change their prices to reflect the current value. And most of the time they are priced at high book pricing. But are rather easily talked down in price. Show up with a Beckett and you can get anything lowered.

Its actually rather easy to trade with the dealers. They are always looking to trade for something worth while, though a few will try to get more than what their cards are worth, I know this as I experienced today and had to do a bit of haggling to get them to give in.

As for being a good card show, its ok. For small town Iowa, its great. They do not see things like this around here. You'd have to travel a good 4 1/2 hours if you want to get to anything decent.

Possibly more exposure to this will open up peoples eyes, and get a better selection out there.

Normal table fee's are $30. You can make that money back quite easily when you have plenty of RC's, low end gu'd, base cards and other things of that sort to sell to the kids passing by. Alot of buying seems to go on between the dealers themselves also.

If your really looking for some friendly people to talk to and enjoy the company of the day with, this is the kind of show to go to, well for a small town. I enjoy it, and get a decent cards everytime I am there.

You have Lincoln and Omaha that have shows periodically for Nebraska. I am not sure how far Council Bluff is but that also available. So hit some shows and let us know what it like with a review LOL.

Omaha is about 1 Hr 45 Minutes the Bluffs is only 15 Minutes past that, Lincoln about 2 Hours, But with 2 Young Kids its hard.....U got Dogs i got Kids lol, Dogs are Easier! :)

Thanks for the info! I live in Dunkerton Iowa and never hear anything about card shows in Iowa.
