I think it's real. The Saints/Hornets logo was introduced in 07, so it's very likely UD used it; the picture on the card even depicts CP3 wearing it on his jersey. Also, I think the 100% feedback and insurance means he's a legit seller. Too bad I don't have $600+ to spend on a single, lol.

wow - stop the presses - somebody made their money back on a high end upper deck product that didn't have a kobe, mj, lebron, or 1/1 logoman in it.

it looks like the new hornets logo. but the thing that confuses me is that that logo was released just recently and before that I had never seen it before, how could a patch that's never really existed until just recently be on there if the product was released before the new logo?

If you look at the picture of Chris Paul on the card, you can see the patch on his right shoulder.

I've actually seen comparable things come out of Exquisite. As many criticisms as we can legitimately throw at UD over Exquisite's quality this year, one thing that remains true is that they save the best patches for it.

If that was not a legitimate patch, it would mean that the seller would have had to dismantle the card, tear out the real patch, buy an authentic Hornets Jersey ($150-200), cut it apart, put the fake patch in, and put the card back together. And the fact that the patch is so damn awesome means that most potential buyers would inspect the hell out of it, maybe even send it in to be graded, which means there's a much higher chance of him getting busted, reported to eBay, and possibly having PayPal take back the funds. Then he'd lose the card, make no profit, be permanently banned from eBay, never have any of us buy from him again (because we'd hear about the story), AND he'd be out all the money he spent doctoring the card. How much more do you think he got for that patch than he would have gotten for a less-impressive one? A hundred dollars, maybe? It doesn't seem worth it to me.
