How low can you go? Gustav Politics
So we have a Democratic congressmen, Olbermann and Michael Moore saying the "must be a God" because Hurricane Gustav is hitting New Orleans the same time the RNC starts. So, you have John McCain canceling and Democrats joyful that the Gustavis hitting New Orleans. Despicable!
Michael Moore on Olbermann
Former DNC Chairman Don Fowler

Now wait a second. I thought Democrats said that global warming was causing these hurricanes. And global warming is, of course, man made, which means Bush has the power to stop it. Therefore, using the transitive property of mathematics, Bush is causing these hurricanes, not God. Sounds like they just use religion when it benefits them ;)

I was very puzzled when I saw that last week. Idiotic of Moore to be laughing.
Don Fowler's comments are absolutely moronic. "God's on our side" so I don't mind if 2+ million have to evacuate and 1+ million are without electricity.

What's laughable is that news outlets continue to give a college dropout with zero qualifications a forum to spew uneducated babble to the entire nation.

Obviously hurricanes are like bloodhounds when it comes to evil. After all, didn't Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson or some such beast say that Florida and Louisiana got pounded by hurricanes in 2004 because Disney is friendly toward the gay community and there was a gay pride parade in New Orleans?
Wait, maybe those were conservative hurricanes and Gustav is a liberal hurricane. It's really hard to tell just by looking at them.

"I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you, This is not a message of hate -- this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor." –Pat Robertson, on "gay days" at Disneyworld
pat robertson is despicable...his name should never be mentioned again unless being used in a vulgar manner...then again his quotes are always good reading if you are in the mood for a good laugh...but I'm sure I'm off topic by now
