You have very definite opinions. I can appreciate that. That being said I think there may be an age gap. The guys you grew up watching are the guys you think are the best. I feel the same way. Is Hogan the best wrestler? No way! Was he great on the microphone and could he tell a story in the ring. Absolutely!

I have to say, the Hogan is overrated, but still essential to wrestling. Meloman saying he hates Hogan, Foley and Flair just shows what an ignorant wrestling fan he is.

Enough on him though. Yes Hogan is not the best technical wrestler, and yes his matches are boring ( I have to admit it I could never sit through a whole match of his without saying, people went nuts over this?) but he is an icon for what he did in the past and should be respected for it.

and hoeser can you fix your thing so it isn't all wierd? idk if you've noticed it yet or not...

Now if you ask me who the best wrestler of all-time was, I would have to tell you it's a tie, between Stone Cold and my personal favorite The Rock. They could cut a promo, work the mic, and entertain you in the ring. That is the definition of the perfect wrestler.

Flair, Shawn Michaels, Dusty Rhodes, Austin, Triple H, Rock and Arn Anderson are a few great mic guys that come to mind. There is no need to call anyone ignorant. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I have watched wrestling my whole life. Even as a 5 year old I hated hulk. I remember freaking out that the undertaker beat him when I was like 7 and then the undertaker became my favorite wrestler, becouse he beat hogan. I'm 23 now. And I watch more wrestling now then i ever have. thanks to wwe 24/7. and I have to admit. I think the Greatest wrestler of all time was Terry funk. No joke. That guy could make a broom look good in the ring, and he was AMAZING on the microphone. Kurt Angle is pretty sick too.

The guys I grew up watching and that hooked me in were Nick Bockwinkle, Ken Patera, Bobby Heenan and Crusher Blackwell. I was only able to watch the AWA back then. From there it was the NWA on TBS and then the WWF. I was able to meet Heenan and Bockwinkle about 4 years ago. I told them that they were responsible for getting me into wresting. Heenan then proceeded to rip on me! lol The untimate for me! Heenan was excellent on the mic as well. I forgot him.
A guy that is VERY underated in my opinion is Arn Anderson. He was an excellent worker and good on the mic too.
I agree with you about Angle. Funk....not too sure. I have seen a lot of his stuff and sometimes he goes off in a different direction. Watch 24/7 under shorties when he and Flair were going at it. It seems as if he lost where he was going a bit.

I saw it. what you need to understand is when that that was done, Wcw was in CHAOS! I doubt flair and Funk had a real plan, I'm sure they just winged it.... plus he was pushing 60. watch some his stuff from the 80'd and his ecw stuff. it can bring a tear to your eye.

If he could have stayed sober, I think Jake roberts would have been one of the all time greats.

I am a super-huge fan of most of the TNA roster, but the storytelling on the show is dreadful. I really don't see Foley making a monster impact. Given his interests in TV projects, etc., I believe wrestling for TNA is really an afterthought to him--the deal just gives him some leeway he didn't possess at WWE and some coin in his jeans.

Even assuming he did wrestle, ole' Double J and the TNA bookers will bury any momentum the hire brings forth. The possibilities of good stuff involving Foley is endless, but all I can see is a few PPV tag matches in the near future.
