Former UFC Champion Evan Tanner Dead 1971-2008
I just thought I would post this, Evan Tanner was one of my favorite MMA fighters, he was found dead Monday in Southern California... RIP...

Wow. That's unbelievable. I knew he'd had some personal problems the last few years, but I was under the impression he had everything under control when he fought Grove. Really sad to hear that.

It really is. He actually lives in my town, Oceanside. He's a really nice guy. I went to The Compound where he trains after I returned from this deployment, it was a pleasant surprise to see him there. Really sad.

just stopping by to pay my respects to evan tanner......used to love watching evan fight - a soft spoken guy, but feared in the cage......i was really looking forward to seeing evan come back and win his remaining contracted fights dispite his recent losing streak.....very sad day in the mma world
2nd greatest fight beard in the biz!! RIP Evan - you will be missed!!
