08-09 Topps is live
I just picked up a hobby box at my local shop. Gonna open it when I get home tonight. Anyone else?

Nice! What's supposed to be in a box? One auto and 2 GUs?

In the jumbo, yes. I don't think you are guaranteed any autos in the regular hobby box, but there's a decent chance of getting one anyways. I didn't want to spend another $25 just to pull a Josh Boone auto or whatever likely scenario there would have been.
The guy at the shop said he sold a box earlier in the day, and that guy pulled a Larry Bird auto. I hope it's a hot case for my sake!

Ah, thanks for the info! How much did you pay for your box? I might get one, lol. Good luck with your break!

Thanks...$58,which might be high, but we've only got one shop in my area.
The release of Topps is something that I've grown to look forward to every year now. It signals the start of the new collecting season for me. I always have fun breaking that first box! It doesn't cost much and I get to try to complete the set or pick an insert set or two to chase.
