Military Roll Call!
First off I want to thank those who have Served and or still serving our nation today!
If you are military past or present I wanted to see who all have served their country here. State the Branch and time of service.
1984-1994 U.S.A.F. (Strategic Aircraft Mechanic)
1997-2000 U.S. Army National Guard (Kansas-Blackhawk Mechanic)
So that would make me a "Wingnut"

I grew up in an era of ethnic wars, so I've done my fair share of walking through hell.
Didn't have chance to serve this great country, buy my thanks goes out to all those that did and still are.

Let's see, if I remember correctly
Two of my Grandfathers served as a officers in WWII
My Father (Enlisted)served during Vietnam as an Air Traffic Controller
I(CPO) have served since 1989 with a two year break in between.
I have been to;
- Spain, awesome place
- Puerto Rico, beautiful
- Panama, Chased by a caiman
- Colombia, lived on a tributary of the Amazon and had indians in dugout canoes paddle down the river to watch the white man take a shower
- Japan and it's little poor island Okinawa, neat but don't need to go back
- Azores, Sao Miguel, beautiful but not alot of people for the breeding pool
- Portugal, I meet a U.S. female Basketball player there and she asked me for my deodorant. I told her no. Years later, we worked together. Weird
- The Rock of Gibraltar where I saw the Apes
- Majorca, what a wild party island. If you have a chance go.
- Afghanistan, what a dirty place, the people are so uneducated but I guess that is what kept the Taliban in power.
Sure I am forgetting a few places
To all my brothers-in-arms I salute you.

US Navy 1989-1999
served off the coast of Iraq during the first and second Gulf war.
Served off the coast of somalia during that
served with pride on the USS New Orleans LPH-11 as a Postal Clerk
Got out as an E-5/PC2
A little bit of interesting news about my ship i was on(USS New Orleans)
the USS New Olreans was used as the recovery ship at the end of the movie apollo13, because at that time the original recovery ship the USS Iwo Jima was decommissioned. When Tom hanks, Kevin Bacon, and Bill Paxton are walking by all the sailors when the get off the helo almost all of them are good friends of mine to this day. I make fun of them because they got the 15 seconds of fame. I wasnt that lucky, i left the ship 2 weeks before they shot that scene.
