    Card conditions

Assuming that you don't deal exclusively in graded cards, do you guys make a distinction between near mint and mint when dealing with your cards?

I just got back into collecting, and have noticed that even pack fresh cards frequently have minor flaws, such as one ore more white spots on corners visible only on close examination. I certainly never noticed this sort of thing as a kid, but these days I seem to have a very high attention to detail in all hobbies/activities.

Anyways, does anyone else notice or care about these sort of flaws? In your commons? When building sets? How about inserts?

I personally don't like to have flaws in my cards, even for my base cards for my sets. If its a tiny bit of corner wear thats ok but i always tell people if i notice anything. NMT could have a small bit of wear but nothing major i'd say. Mint would have sharp corners and no flaws. I'd say just tell the people you trade with of any things you notice and they can judge for themselves.

I always seem to find the same flaws on a lot of the same card # through out a case or multiple cases. Jon
