Whose excited for 2008-09 Bowman DP&S?

Hell I know I am. How many cases am I going to break this year? I got a stored case of 07-08 in the closet, putting my cases up to like 6 of last year + about 20 boxes randomly as well.

Cards look halfway decent from what I saw and the pulls are going to be the same and if it was anything like last year with finding out what pulls yo will get heres my two cents...



Heres what you will get per box

1 Auto RC Refractor ( Don't expect anyone awesome, think Jared Dudley type players with the occasional Stuckey/Thornton type card as well )

2 Bowman Relic Cards. Be sure to check the back on these. I had no friggin' clue I had a 1/1 Triple JSY of Mike Conley. These will be numbered from 1/1 to /299 to not numbered.

Various refractors, on average I'd say about 3 + your Auto Refractor per box. Expect at least 1 regular refractor + various different colored refractors.

Heres what you can expect from a case.

12 box case - 18 packs per case.

Expect 13-17 RC Auto Refractors and 1 hot box containing x2 refractors, relic cards and auto refractor RC's. Usually a hot box you pull 1 auto refractor that is usually black or gold.

Expect at least 1 redemption card in your case, usually a garbage player that they needed to sign more crap.

Every (2) cases expect 1-3 1/1 cards in your case. Usually every other case I pulled I got 2 1/1's or 1 1/1 per case, was pretty nice.

Expect to trade me all your Clippers stuff.




NOTE!

Topps signed all top 10 draft picks this year to sign, which is huge. I am not sure about Upper Deck but that sucks for them, Topps Products are cheaper which I like. So that means Rose, Beasley, Mayo, Love, Westbrook, Gordon they are all there. This is really clutch as last year they didnt have Noah, Horford, Durant etc which was a bummer I could have really used another Horford auto or 6.



So this stuff looks pretty good and theres a good chance if you buy a case it will contain some goodies, I only have had 1 bad case in all last years stuff and it wasnt that bad I pulled a nice Gold Refractor of Oden and some halfway decent to good RC autos.

I'm looking forward to it as well. However, I dislike how they have so many refractor versions. I miss the older Bowman sets (04-05, 05-06) when they just had the Refractor, X-Fractor, and the Gold Refractor. Now, it seems like they have twice as many refractor/parallel types. In last year's Bowman product they had - Bronze (#`d to 399), Silver (#`d to 199), Gold (#`d to 50), Chrome Refractor (#`d to 299; Black > #`d to 199, Gold > #`d to 99, X-Fractor > #`d to 50

Anyways, good luck with your cases and boxes! Also, you should bust some 2005-06 Bowman sometime!

I'll think about ti depending on how much it is. I was debating on getting a case of the past few years bowman and just saving it.

I'm looking forward to it. I had pretty nice luck with my one box of 07/08. If I'm doing well with $$$ I will pickup a case of this when it comes out.

I think this year's DP&S will be better than 07-08. Better class of rookies. Better design in my opinion.

The only qualm I had about 07-08 was the difficulty in telling apart the Bowman Gold (/99) and Bowman Bronze (/399). They tried to fix that for 08-09 with Bowman Red (/1), Bowman Gold (/50), Bowman Orange (/299) and Bowman Blue (/499), and I think the setup is better than last year.

Even though there are a lot of Chrome parallels, that makes it more fun to complete a rainbow. However, I thought the Refractors (/499) and XFractors (/299) could have had lower numbering (say /250 and /150 respectively)

Again though, I like how there are Draft Day relics/autos, as well as the chance for a logoman/letterman (albeit pretty rare in both cases).

Should be a solid product, I will definitely buy a box at the least.

i think for the price it's a pretty good bargain. i'm on the fence this year on the rooks since there's been a lot of hype but no assurance that any of them will pan out to be superstars. reminds me a lot of 06/07 with bargnani, roy, and the gang. hard to justify dropping some cash on this when i could be saving it for hockey or spending it on football.
