How do you organize your cards

I have a lot of base and insert cards I want to organize. I can never find a way that I like. Right now my base is organized by sets and then star players. I don't really like it being organized by sets. So wondering what other people do.

For my inserts, they are stuffed in a 9 card page in randomly, so really looking for a way to organize those as well. How do you guys do it???

Hahaa, yeah...definitely doesn't work for 9 pocket pages.
I have dual row shoeboxes that fit base & toploaders.
Kinda' like a mini file cabinet.

That happens to me too! =( I had chronological and even tried to organize the cards in card numbers. That turned out to be too much work so they are a mess now. And it seems to be helpful if I want to sell some base cards to have them in player lots. I tried team lots, but I don't like how some players are on several teams and hard to keep track of.

I think player lots is the best

I have that organized in 3 rows boxes by teams for all 3 sports and that makes it really easy organize and find when you need them

I sort by card number by set - I used to do it by first letter of last name, but have since decided to go by sets/numbers.

Great ideas everyone. Right now I'm leaning toward player lots for the more popular players, and then team lots, and then a seperate for the sets I like.

How about inserts? How do you guys organize those??

I organize everything by player...most of the time people collect players so that way I know what I have...for the most part anyways.
