How many NBA games do you typically attend?
Just curious how many games you guys attend each year on average. I'm sure many people can't because they don't have a team in their city. And I bet it's hard to get tickets in some cities like LA and Boston.
Me I typically go to about 5-7 I'd say. It was harder when I was in high school and especially when I was away at college. I almost always attend the Suns @ Wizards game each season, in the past 10 seasons i have missed the game 3 times. i try to get seats by the visitors side so i can get suns autographs.
other than that i just pick teams my favorite players are on (usually Lakers or Jason Kidd's current team) or whatever games are on a lower price/special. i have sadly only been to one playoff game and the Wizards lost.
So does anyone else have any traditions of going to games?
And for those of you who have been to more than one city, which was your favorite? I've only been to the Wizards in DC but I want to go to a Knicks game sometime to see MSG.Last edited by molly1984; 09-18-2008 at 08:46 PM.

I live in a city that is 2 hours from San Antonio and 6 hours from Houston. I mainly go to Houston games.

My brother lives in Houston. And I do like the Rockets a lot more. Houston is basically my 2nd home, so I root for all Houston teams. The best game I went to was when the Rockets played the Mavericks in the playoffs a few years ago. The atmosphere was great, and people were really into it.

Zero. I've never been to an NBA game in my life, yet I am a bigger NBA fan and know more about basketball than anyone I know personally.

I go to about 4-5 games a year. I always go to the Laker vs. Suns game in January(usually for my birthday).

Great topic Molly!
Nathan - I hope you get to go to a NBA game this year! It's a really cool experience!
Trevor - That's usually what I do. I end up going to a Suns home game around my birthday. It seems like it's always against the T-Wolves though, lol.
Anyways, I typically attend 2-3 games a year.

It's been years since I've been to an NBA game. I went to a few Sixers games in the mid-late 90s. Then when I lived in DC, I never went to any Wizards games, instead I would go to Nationals and Capitals games. I lived in Buffalo for 3 years, but only went up to Toronto to catch Blue Jays games. Now I live in Raleigh, NC, and sure, I'm about 2 hours from Charlotte to see the lackluster Bobcats, but I'd rather spend my money on the Hurricanes or the Carolina Panthers.
But, it's true, NBA games are much more exciting in person.
