    Worst One-Sided Trades

There are trades in every sport that look good to both teams at the time of the trade, hence why they agree to the trade. But, 2 years later (or 3, 4, 5, more), those trades sure look one-sided. I am focusing on those not-so-great looking trades. :-)

Kobe Bryant (Charlotte Hornets) for Vlade Divac (LA Lakers)

Dirk Nowitzki (Bucks) for Robert Traylor (Mavericks)

Shaq (LA Lakers) for Odom, Butler and Grant (Miami)

Ray Allen (Wolves) for Stephon Marbury (Bucks)

I'll add more later....let's hear yours!

Marbury up and left in 3 years; Allen played a fantastic career in Milwaukee, Seattle, and eventually was teamed with Garnett anyway in Boston.....plus, Allen is borderline HOFer....Marbury? Borderline decent player.....so, I think that is one-sided :-)

Pau Gasol (Grizzlies) for Mr. Garbage #1, Mr. Garbage #2, and Javaris Crittenton (Lakers)
Ray Allen (Sonics) for Jeff Green and Wally S. (Celtics)
    L. Aldridge (Bulls) for Tyrus Thomas (Blazers)
Eddy Curry (Bulls) for TONS OF DRAFT PICKS (Knicks)

Shaq for Marion, lol. It might not qualify as one of the "worst" one-sided trades, but I think it's pretty lopsided!

i guess it depends on how you look at it. Marbury for Allen in 1996 seemed fine, but now 12 years later of course Ray Allen is doing better.

    How about this one:
Kwame Brown and Laron Profit (Wizards) for Caron Butler and Chucky Atkins (Lakers)

Pistons trade Grant Hill to the Magic for Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins

Trail Blazers trade the rights to Randy Foye to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the rights to Brandon Roy (still early but so far....)

Rockets trade Richard Jefferson, Jason Collins, and Brandon Armstrong to the Nets for Eddie Griffin.

Hawks trade Dominique Wilkins to the Clippers for 22 games of Danny Manning

New Orleans Hornets trade Baron Davis to Golden State for Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis

    Yep, forgot about Gasol...lol

Shaq for Marion I agree with - although it is technically a little early, cuz I guess Marion could flop this year, but I highly doubt it.

    Kwame for Caron....hmmm....nah, not lopsided...LMAO!

Yeah, that's basically what I'm meaning....neither player really benifited the other team, but it was still a bad trade IMO....kinda like the Roy/Foye deal....and eventually the Mayo/Love deal....ugh..lol

Bad trade? Yes. But, they wouldn't have Chris Paul if they didn't do it!

    here are some more

2004-05- Boston trade Jiri Welsch to Cleveland for a future first-round draft pick

2003-04- Detroit trades Lindsey Hunter, Chucky Atkins its 2004 first round pick and cash to Boston for G Mike James

Detroit trades Zeljko Rebraca, G Bob Sura and a first round pick (pick will come from Milwaukee if the Bucks qualify for the playoffs) to Atlanta for Rasheed Wallace

why is this so one sided? well, Detroit won the championship in this year, resigned Hunter, Sura & Rebraca are no longer in the league, and we still have Sheed, plus never had to give up the second 1st round pick since Milwaukee made the playoffs that year.
