    Top 50 Current Players

    Who would you rather have?

It's asked innumerable times when you're talking basketball. Who would you rather have, this guy or that guy?

When you're making a list of the top 50 players in the NBA, you ask that question of yourself, oh, about 50 times.

Who would you rather have, Kobe Bryant or LeBron James?

What about between LeBron and Chris Paul? And so it goes.

Here, then, is who we'd rather have -- our top 50 NBA players:

I've got some opinions on this, but I think that I'd exceed the letter amount in this post...lol...you will be lucky enough to read my opinions later :-) In the mean time, let's hear yours!

Kobe over LeBron? Considering the article is about who you would rather HAVE on your team, how can they justify this pick?

LeBron is almost 10 years younger than Kobe. That should be the #1 reason ALONE. Bottom line. Am I missing something?

Some of their picks are ridiculous.

Kobe is better than LeBron at this point, so if I had to pick a player for my team right now it would have to be Kobe.

I agree with you, but that's not the basis of the article.

If the article was "Who is the best player in the NBA", then yes, Kobe would be #1. I'm a Cavs fan, even I know that. However, that isn't what the article is about. The article is about who would you rather have on your team? The answer should be, hands down, LeBron.

LeBron does more for a team than Kobe does, PLUS, like I said, is almost 10 years younger. Wouldn't you rather get 14 years out of a guy, opposed to 5 or 6?

    Do you see my point?

i would rather have lebron over kobe. kobe is 30, lebron 23. lebron can play incredible D. kobe, not so much. the only thing kobe has over lebron is shooting. and putting oden that high and durant that low is pretty amazing. just my opinion though :)

Kobe plays better D overall, but matched up against each other, Kobe can't handle Bron, and Bron shuts down Kobe every time. Every game, come 4th quarter, when they're on each other, Kobe can't contain LeBron. Not sure why, but for some reason, LeBron has Kobe's number when it comes to defending him.

Yeah, I see your point. All I was saying if I had to pick a guy to play today it would have to be Kobe. But I do agree that if I had to pick someone for a dynasty it would be LeBron.
