My mind may change when I do the 07 Premier breaks on Thursday, but as of now, I'm too afraid to even be in the same room with it.

i could go on alll day...please match that with veteran stuff from absolute. im not trying to start something here absolute is a wonderful product and that hines ward is one of the dirtiest cards from the product however, hes looking for vet stuff and not alot of base.....premier= 1 base. 1 rookie auto quad gu. and if you wait about a month it will prolly have dropped about 50$ in price. unlike absolute where 07 boxes are still around 120$ a box.

Im not sure if this was directed at me but I never said anything about abs. mem beating premiere. Ive seen some junky premiere breaks and ive seen some junk absolute breaks also.

SL - You're making a strong argument lol. I'm starting to be swayed. I just don't want to shell out the $190 for it yet. I'll probably either crack and go SPx to tide me over til a Premier price drop, or just suck it up and get Premier. I just bought 4 boxes of 07 Premier because of the special Blowout ran. I couldn't pass it up for $99 a box. Maybe that makes me a sucker lol.

Yeah, I ordered some 07 Premier from Blowout too. It convinced me to wait a year before I buy any 08 Premier.

I'd stay away from Absolute because you're likely to pull a lot of event-used garbage. Why not order some 07 SP Chirography if you like autographs? I think Blowout is having a weekend special on those...

My preferences: I am not a big fan of game-used stuff (unless it's auto'd) for the most part. Good looking, low-numbered patches are ok, but I'd much rather have a decent auto than a good game-used. I really like auto/game-used combo cards. I have absolutely no interest in base and their parallels. I am also looking for something where it's not just rookie stuff, I mean rookies are great, but I want to have a shot at pulling a star auto too. I'm a big fan of SPx, but I've done enough of those boxes, and I'm looking for something else. I've also opened enough Finest, and I'm not impressed.

The boxes I'm considering are 08 Premier, 08 Absolute, and 08 Leaf Certified Materials. Which one of the three do you get the best value out of? Or should I be looking at something else? I'd rather spend a little extra on Premier if it's worth it, but in the past, I've seen some ridiculously terrible Premier boxes. I don't want to spend more than around 200 on a box either.

I tried to give you some idea of where I'm coming from. Thank you very much in advance for your help, because I am really stuck on what to get. Right now I'm leaning towards Absolute, but I'm open to anything.

Well, if you have enough money, why don't you buy a box of premier and a pack or two of absolute mem.? I'm also deciding what product to buy but my price range for a box is under yours at like $120 so premier is out for me. Or you could just wait for the premier to go down.

Just go with your gut. Which box intrigues you the most? I hope whichever box you get comes with what you are looking for.

I don't think I can rationalize spending $190-200 on 08 Premier. That's why I was asking. I'm just looking for a good box to get right now that isn't game-used heavy.

Premier just seems so hit or miss. I understand most boxes are like that, but if I spend $200 for 6 or 7 cards, I should see at least some return on my investment. I've had really good luck with SPx, that's probably why I'm biased, but it seems like a decent mix of vets and rookies and you're guaranteed to pull some decent stuff. You could completely whiff and get about 20-30 back on the 130-150 you spent. Obviously you could do better, but there are some boxes where you drop 150-200 and end up with 4 dollars of value. I want to avoid those lol.

that happened to me on ud premier baseball best card i pulled was wladimir balentien auto /15 haha then this guy on youtube pulls 1/5 babe ruth and 1/1 mlb logo patch auto of pujols in 1 freekin box...
