Does this seem weird to anyone else?

I saw some boxes of 2005 SP Authentic on eBay...I noticed the guy only has 3 feedback score, which worried me. But I just looked at the other items he has for sale...

    4 boxes 2003 SP Authentic
    4 boxes 2004 SP Authentic
    4 boxes 2005 SP Authentic
    4 boxes 2006 SP Authentic
    and nothing else...

Does anybody else think it's weird that he only has 4 boxes each of only one brand from 4 different years? I was still thinking about taking a chance despite the low feedback, but this seems a little shady to me. Am I just being paranoid?

He offers paypal for payment. Paypal offers protection. I would say it is worth a shot because you have buyers protection.

What that does is, if nothing is received, PayPal takes the money back. But if he withdraws the money and doesn't have a bank account attached or if the attached account is empty, there's no money to take back...so you're still screwed. If he's a true scheister, he knows how to do it and get away with it.

costs you $25 if its $200 or less to file with ebay and they rule in your favor.. example.. you pay $150 for the 4 boxes.. he hoses you.. you file complaint for $25 and you would get $125 back if they rule in your favor.. happened to me about 3 years ago with overseas seller

I bought 3 boxes of the 03 SP last week. They haven't arrived yet. Says they were shipped on the 24th with 2-3 day shipping. I should have them tomorrow.

Holy cow, there is a lot of different directions in this thread.

First of all why would the amount of boxes be the thing that scares you off. The fact that someone is selling boxes on ebay should scare you off. With SPA it's very easy to feel the patch, put another pack in there and reseal.

Second, paypal will do nothing for you in this instance. They make sure you received your item. IF you got the box and opened it, it cannot be returned. The only way to know if its good or not is to open it. Also even if this guy was legit, you could buy them and open it and get nothing and you'd point the finger.

Third, it does not cost you $25 to file a charge back through paypal. It does take a lot of time, sometimes a month or so, especially if he responds.

Moral of the story.....DO NOT BUY BOXES ON EBAY...PERIOD.
