A few questions for a newbie

I just got back into collecting football cards. It's been over a decade, since I was a kid since I've collected. I picked up a beckett but noticed the Upper Deck packs and the Donruss Threads packs I purchased aren't in the Beckett guide. What's' the deal? Is there a spot online I can look? Thanks!

One more question while I'm posting, what do you all recommend for buying packs? I have very few cards if any and want to gamble on some good cards. So far I've only been buying the Topps, Donruss Threads, Donruss classics, and Upper Deck. And a few Bowman. Are all these good for some high end cards or mid range cards? I'm assuming all the different topps collections in Beckett are random inserts in Topps packs? And so on for all the different companies? Thanks in advance!

if you bought 2008 packs they arent listed in the last Beckett. The Football Beckett is bi-monthly so it only comes out once every 2 months. i use Beckett online and even though they screwed the old website up. they have a lot more of the newer products and its pretty easy to use.

If you got the Multi Sport Beckett they list 2008 and 2007 but anything later its just the main stuff. Beckett Online is good but I like to grab a beckett cuz its a little easier. Beckett Online is nice though cuz it will add your collection up and makes it easier to manage.

Basically if you want to gamble the more you spend the more chance you have at getting a better card. If you like rookies I would suggest Topps Chrome and Bowman Chrome. Absolute Memorabilia and Leaf Certified Materials always give you a good assortment and are fun breaks. Check out Blowoutcards.com, thats my choice for ordering boxes.

    Goodluck
