'The Boss' to play Super Bowl halftime

CNN: 'The Boss' to play Super Bowl halftime

    Ugh...I hate Springsteen.

Although there were a lot of complaints, I've actually enjoyed the last few half-time shows...McCartney was good and I love Tom Petty. I suppose all the people complaining wanted more people like Britney Spears and N'Sync...cuz when I think football, I think Britney Spears and N'Sync, right? I'm glad they continued with a legend, but did it have to be Springsteen?

The last 2 halftime shows were great...Tom Petty this past season, and Prince killed it 2 years ago...They definitely need to keep new school pop acts away....established old school artists is the only way to go, but i'm not a big springsteen fan either....but he'll be better than having a nelly or jonas bros

Yeah...as much as I hate Springsteen, I have to agree with that 100%

What are some other acts we'd like to see?
I think it would be a great year for AC/DC to do it...they have a new album coming out.

actually I'd rather see them do the pre-game. Can you imagine how pumped everyone would be if they played Let There Be Rock and then the Super Bowl is about to start???

I'm not a big bruce fan either but I like it that they are keeping the pop-tart, teenie bop stuff out as well. I actually watched the halftime show last year with Petty. Every other year I turned the tv off for 30 mniutes and came back.

Buffet would be cool, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin reunion would be sweet. U2 would put on a good show as well.

Not that it would ever happen, but let's go old school Def Jam...

Run DMC, LL COOL J, Slick Rick & the Beastie Boys....80's songs only!!!
