well, he certainly wasn't going to be able to get up on his own, but he didn't get knocked out either. i don't guess the ref can stop just to let him up, he has to call the fight right? kimbo needs to learn some judo.

I dunno that was a joke and a half. The ref stopped that way to damn quick.

Agreed ... the fight was called waaaaaaaaaaaay to soon. That would have never happened in the UFC or WEC. Elite XC is a joke in the first place but if they keep pulling stunts like this they will lose more and more viewers eventually fasing them out of the MMA game.

Kimbo is a streetfighter/brawler. This was going to happen sooner or later. He can't keep up with the speed of some of this guys.

Did they stop the fight early....maybe

Was he able to stand up quick...don't think so

I've heard people say that the fight was stopped too soon, but what really would have changed if the ref had let the fight go? Kimbo was in a defensless position and Seth was pound away at will. Would another 5 or 10 seconds have seen that change? Maybe, but I really doubt it.

I think the stoppage from the referee came right on time since Kimbo had nothing else to do

what a joke. So the ref can assume he wouldn't be able to get up and call the fight about 10 punches or so? I get that it's not like boxing and they can't separate them, but what a joke of a fight. I guess that just another reason why I don't watch the sport.

Kimbo was just laying there defenseless and those punches already cut open above and below his left eye. Kimbo was done for, it was a good call to stop the fight.

i agree that it was the right call to stop the fight. In mma, if someone is not "intelligently defending themselves" then the ref is allowed to stop the fight. Kimbo didn't attempt to block a single punch so it was the right call.

For anyone that doesn't typically watch mma, the junk they show on cbs isn't what you should be watching. Unless you want something to confirm why you don't like it! Pick up one of the last 10-15 ufc pay-per-views on dvd if you want to see good mma.

If you really want to see good fighters, watch Pride.

pride had some good fights and fighters but I still prefer ufc. I have watched enough that I do appreciate the ground game but in pride I never got used to them restarted them in the previous ground position. It allowed some ground guys to just lay-n-pray for 10 minutes.
