    Selling Question

    Hello all,

I am new to the whole world of EBay selling and have some questions for you pros out there.
I have a 91-92 Skybox set, which includes the Dream Team, in the official Skybox binder. I also have the no-numbered Olympic Team card and a Clyde Drexler Olympic card (which I found out through this board and other sources is one of 10,000 printed that you could get by sending in 10 empty wrappers). Beckett values the Team card between $6 and $12, and the Drexler between $40 and $75.
My question is should I sell the entire set including these two cards or should I sell the set minus these two cards and sell them individually? Should I give up trying to sell the entire set and just sell just the Olympic set with these two cards? Typically, what gets better results?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

For non-autographed & non-relic cards, you don't get anywhere close to Beckett value when selling on ebay.
    - The team card would probably get you $1-$2 on ebay. (And I think the current auctions show that is true.)
    - Not sure about the Drexler, since I know this is rare. The market for it is small though, so it will be hit or miss.
That being said, I would keep it all together as a set.

Older, rare Jordan inserts and some rare Kobe inserts can get more than book price, but most other stuff sells for deep discounts.

A good option might be placing your item's with a Buy it now of a certain higher price, and then add the best offer option, and see if you have any takers. You might need to make sure you talk about or list in the title your rare Drexler card to stir up interest, as most people aren't really interested in complete sets anymore.

I recommend selling them all together, because if you don't, you may never sell the base set.

Yeah, the Hoops/Skybox junk wax in the early 90's is not really worth the hassle of auctioning. The shipping charge is almost equal to that of a box ($5-$10 per box). I really liked the Dream Team subset, but they just don't hold value because of over-production. If you put all of it up for auction starting at $.99, I would guess you will get $8-$12 with the Drexler included for it.
