Beckett Intertrupation
I need some guys to help me understand the Becket Pricing guide lol.
Ok when a card is like this:
Mark McGwire, $20/$40. What does this mean. Why do they have 2 prices? Im confused, if u can help that would be grealty appreicated.

Not sure if it is for alright/mint but if the card is in good condition everyone uses the high value.

If the card is in good shape it has the high value and I think if the condition isn't very good it would trade at the low value.
I just checked in my becket mag and low value is listed as the lowest price you would expect to find for a card with extensive shopping. High value is obviously the opposite.

From Beckett's "How to Use and Condition Guide" (page 13 in the April 2004 issue of Becket Baseball Collector):
"What the Columns Mean
The LO and HI columns reflect current retail selling ranges. The HI column generally represents full retail selling price. The LO column generally represents the lowest price one could expect to find with extensive shopping."
If I'm not mistaken, Beckett had previously based these price columns on card condition. Does anyone else remember this?
