Remember NFL contracts are not guaranteed except for the bonus signed. They can decide next year that they don't want him anymore and not pay him a dime.

none of this BS, like what goes on in the NBA
where Grant Hill gets $96M for 7 years from Orlando, and hasn't played even 1/2 of a regular season
where Vin Baker gets a $60M or so contract, and plays really badly, has alcohol problems, and will still be paid, regardless
where Terrell Brandon is paid over $50M, and he's retiring due to arthritis of the knees, having not played for the T-wolves in over 4 years.
