Cavs release NBA's first deaf player
CLEVELAND -- Center Lance Allred, the first legally deaf player in the NBA, was released Wednesday by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He played four minutes in Cleveland's 104-84 exhibition loss to Toronto on Tuesday.
Allred was signed to a pair of 10-day contracts last March before the team signed him for the remainder of the season in April. He played in three games and averaged 1 point.

I never knew that there was a deaf player! That's kinda neat that he was able to overcome that and play basketball at such a high level!

He'll probably end up here in Erie with the D-League team....I know the Cavs like him as a PF/C, but there just isn't any room....plus, Lance likes the Cavs organization, so I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up in Erie.
