    Stock Market Obamas Fault

I was doing a little thinking about the stock market, and Obamas killer ratings.

The Stock market is more aboutthe future than the present, do you think maybe its possible that one of the reasons the stock market is so bad off is because Obama is doing so well in the polls.

Think about it if Obama gets elected the capital gains will increase, people are taking their money out now to avoid it.

Ok just an idea, let the bashing begin.

In a word no, the economy is in the can because of years of poor ethics and lax standards not speculation on a future president

NO, i believe this is not his vault, i don't believe how that would have anything to do with this. I would say if it is anyone's fault, it would be Bush.

You really think the stock market would drop 20% in a week because of speculation about a future president who may or may not raise taxes on capital gains? I don't want to say you are crazy but if you can honestly believe this theory I have at least one bridge to sell you

I would say mostly NO, but obviously with him stating he will raise capital gains taxes may force some poeple out of the market over the next few months.

just a thought, if people are fearing his capital gains increase, then pople withdrawing will only hurt the market.

Im not saying the whole thing is his fault, but his capital gains can only hurt the problem

As part of his "Tax Fairness for the Middle Class" plan, Barack Obama is in favor of nearly doubling the capital-gains tax rate from 15 percent to 28 percent

I would agree that this plan would have investors running if it was enacted into law. However, this is not the case right now! If people are pulling out because of speculation of this, I'm going to be an extremely, extremely happy soon because there will be bargains all over the place to buy. Because as that Maverick would say, "The fundamentials of our economy are good."
