    Carl Yastrzemski anyone?

I have 2 Yas cards 1960-61, at least mint 9's. E-Bay shows (completed items) many different prices for graded cards, some cards graded at 7 are priced higher than some graded 9. Is it the alignment of certain stars, the day of the week or who got laid the night before that determines the prices. I know its an auction but come on!

it's just the whims of the bidders

you have to remember that bidders don't always have the time to check all possible auctions.

so, once they find an auction for a card, and as long as they have enough money, they'll spend it on that card

Sure, you want to be the best possible graded card for your money; but is it worth spending hours and hours looking for that perfect combination of best card and lowest price?

Some folks don't have the time to do that
