I think everyone says some stuff that we don't truly mean literally - we can all be sarcastic, but come off as serious. That's one of the downsides to only reading text...that's why those winks are nice ;-)

We all make mistakes, Bill. The great thing is, forgiveness was given to us for a reason. That's one of the many communicable traits of God that humans possess as well. Forgiveness comes in many shapes and sizes and, though it may take time, whatever you did is not beyond forgiving. Just continue to express your love, devotion, and unending desire for your wife.

If you haven't done so, I would STRONGLY suggest that you take the Mrs. out to see "Fireproof." It's the newest movie by Kirk Cameron, dealing with marriage, struggles, and the loving relationship between man and wife. I took my fiancee to see it a few weeks back on opening night and it's TOTALLY changed the way that I treat her and see our relationship. It's so moving, it brought me to tears on more than one occasion. Really Bill, check it out, you will not be disappointed. Even if she doesn't wanna sit with you in the theater, I would suggest it strongly.



As a 23 year old engaged man, I might not know much about marriage at all, or what you're going through. But I've had my share of times and there's always been one things that's brought me through: the saving forgiveness of Jesus Christ. When all else on this earth fails, He never will.

okay, just finishing up my divorce after 13 years of marriage and here is my advice. You control your feelings, actions, ect as she controls hers. If she has made a choice than nothing you can say will change her mind. Actions speak louder than words and at some point people have had enough and have already moved on even if you have not. If things have not reached this point yet than you have a chance to change.
Are you happy? Is she trying to make you a different person than what you like? Do you feel strained and stressed every day you get up?
Do you feel you are putting all your effort in making her happy and not enough time in making you happy? If so, its over and move on.
Are you the problem? Its not okay to bash your wife for any reason.
She has a right to be mad and you need to dig deep and open up to her and tell her all the things you love about her. Actions speak louder than words, so start by finding out what makes her the most happy. Is it giving her a compiment every day? Doing more around the house, cooking cleaning. Is it buying her a small gift? Is it giving her a passionate kiss or hug, back rub? Is it pleasing her and asking nothing in return?
In closing, if she has made up her mind you are only putting off the inevidable. If not, than get off this message board and start making things right!!!!! Put your hobbies on hold and concentrate on your marriage. Most importantly, be yourself and be happy!!!!

The tone has gotten more serious.

While my relationship is four years young, my parents have been married for 30+ years, so I do believe from experiential observation I could have a better idea than many of what works and what doesn't. I hate phones but am available for Private Messaging.
