    LIVE: Final Debate Response Thread

Starts in about 45 minutes. Many people want to see McCain come out swinging. He basically has to. At the same time, if Obama screws up, he can kill his 8-10 point lead. Should be an interesting watch!

14 point lead according to some, but regardless I expect this debate to be similar to the last two. Both holding their own and it being pretty much a wash. McCain very well might throw everything he has out there but I don't see it working.

McCain seems to have come out with fists flying - "I'm not Bush - if you wanted to run against him, you should've been running 4 years ago"

He definitely is. We'll see how it pans out. Also, cnn.com reports that both Obama and McCain have spend nearly the exact amount on negative advertisements. McCain flat out lied there.

McCain: "...when I was watching the Cardinals beat the Cowboys."
    Obama: "Congratulations."

Anyone else catch McCain's new word?

    "Refutiated"

Also, is this the first time two lefties have run against each other?

I'm watching. McCain is coming out fighting. He's brought up Ayers and ACORN. Also is being very repetitive over Obama's tax plan.

As it stands, I have to admit that McCain is winning this one.

McCain is putting Obama on his heels so far.

Obama is in a tough spot tonight. He is so far ahead that he has nothing to gain by attacking McCain or Palin. McCain has nothing to lose by attacking Obama. Because of this Obama is being forced to defend himself constantly in this debate. I think he's doing a good job trying to shift the focus on the issues but he's in a tough spot.
