Yesterday was magical!
Yesterday morning, my wife and I had to attend court with our daughter Olivia to get through the legal requirements in order to finallize her adoption.
So, we get the Courthouse in Downtown Buffalo at about 10am; court is scheduled for 10:30am. As time passes by, more and more families come into the waiting area. All of them waiting to have their adoptions finalized with kids ranging in age from 5 months old to 6 years old. Families ranging from a mom and dad only, to aunts, uncles, grandparents, sisters, brothers sharing in that moment.
The magically part was watching family after family go in front of the judge and have the final step in their adoption journey completed. It is something that for myself, just can give you peace of mind that no one can come and take your child away because they are being placed elsewhere if your a foster parent, going back to the enviroment they came from initially, etc.
I found myself staying to see every family go in front of the judge, just to see everyone complete that journey.

Interesting tidbit about the courtroom used for the finallization of the adoptions. It was the same courtroom (modernized) used for the 1901 trial of Leon Czolgosz. If this name is not familiar to you, his crime should be. He assassinated the 25th US President, William McKinley.
Thanks for reading this.

That's awesome! My fiancee and I are definitely interested in adopting someday, even if we can have our own children!

That is cool and very nice ti have someone that wants to help someone else. I am sure that you are going to give that little Angel the love she deserves. That speaks a lot of things about you and your wife.
Congratulations
